The newest Pandora’s box with hidden surprises awaiting Americans is the “Digital Health Pass”. It will become the way that we proceed out of the Covid lockdown and return to semi-normal life. We must be aware, however, that it will probably not be going away. It likely will be expanded as a limitless tool to control many aspects of our lives.
“The IBM Digital Health Pass is designed to support organizations as they begin to reopen by enabling individuals to present a verifiable health status to gain access to a public location, such as a sports stadium, airplane, university or workplace.” – Anthony Day, Blockchain Partner, IBM Global Business Services – MSN.com
Those currently resisting getting vaccinated, which is a large portion of America, will find it hard to exist going forward without having the digital health pass. If you want to travel, attend a public event, even retain employment – this ID will become necessary for you to have. Currently, the plan is for identifying those who’ve had a COVID vaccine. But with such a card available that everyone needs, you can bet your last dollar that it will be expanded to include lots of things in the future that fit right in with a left-leaning government’s wishes to impose their will on us “for our own good.”
“Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, employers can require workers to take medical tests that are “job-related and consistent with business necessity” — and that includes tests for COVID-19.” – GoBankRates
“Airlines and others in the travel industry are throwing their support behind so-called vaccine passports to boost pandemic-depressed travel, and authorities in Europe could embrace the idea quickly enough for the peak summer vacation season.” USA Today
The New York Times reported Sunday that at least three airlines, including United, JetBlue and Lufthansa, will use an app called CommonPass, in order to “verify passengers’ virus test results—and soon, vaccinations.” This will allow users to produce a code that will allow them to board international flights. – NationalInterest.org
You must be vaccinated to take a cruise starting with bookings in the spring for many cruise lines, and more are to follow. Vaccinations will be required for the upcoming sailings from the Bahamas and St. Maarten on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. All crew will be vaccinated. Royal Caribbean is facing a boycott in protest.
Princess Cruise Lines will sail with vaccinated crew and will be available to vaccinated adult guests and children under the age of 18 with a negative PCR test result within 72 hours of embarkation, according to a press release.
What will be the application recommended by the US Government? That’s not been decided yet, but is in the works. HIPAA regulations supposedly protect the privacy of health data. I’d like to know how they plan to skirt HIPAA requirements to protect private health information if they require this digital passport.
One such application is Common Pass. “For global travel and trade to return to pre-pandemic levels, travelers will need a secure and verifiable way to document their health status as they travel and cross borders. Countries will need to be able to trust that a traveler’s record of a COVID PCR test or vaccination administered in another country is valid. For global travel and trade to return to pre-pandemic levels, travelers will need a secure and verifiable way to document their health.” – The Commons Project.
One the one hand, we need to be assured that people are not likely to transmit Covid to others. This is especially true for workplaces, restaurants, entertainment venues, colleges, and public travel. On the other hand, we are being coerced into taking a new vaccine that hasn’t had a chance to develop a track record. Socially, we don’t have freedom of speech on social media to openly talk about vaccines. Employers are also silencing employees on politically sensitive subjects.
China locks down your human rights with their “social credits”. Participation in the system coerced but not required.
“The criteria that go into a social credit ranking depends on where you are, notes [Mareike] Ohlberg. “It’s according to which place you’re in, because they have their own catalogs,” she says. It can range from not paying fines when you’re deemed fully able to, misbehaving on a train, standing up a taxi, or driving through a red light.” – Wired
Necessities of modern living are chipping away at our 1st amendment rights and rights to privacy. If you want to live free and keep your freedoms, you’ll likely become an island of your own without rights to participate in society. Here’s to that dream of living on your own Island. It might be the wave of the future.
The Vaccine Passport may be the beginnings of a “Mark of the Beast” as described in the book of Revelation in the Bible. Buckle up, folks. We’re in a new age with new challenges and dangers.
