The COVID-19 Media Narrative

On January 20th, 2021 – Joe Biden was installed as our 46th president. One of his first executive orders was to halt the process of the US withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO). At the same time, the WHO released new procedural guidance for diagnostic testing of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Testing facilities were basically advised to decrease the sensitivity of their equipment in order to eliminate a high percentage of false-positive testing results.

Cooking the Books

Part of Biden’s campaign strategy was to accuse President Trump of mishandling the COVID-19 pandemic. What is alarming about the timing of this release from the WHO is that the data, in retrospect, will show that COVID-19 positive test results began to decline the day Joe Biden took office. Mainstream media outlets will never mention this when they show the records to the public. They will present the data in a way that minimizes the inflection point that would show up when testing facilities turn the sensitivity of their instruments lower.

All Part of the Narrative – During The Trump Presidency

Democrat-run health advisory organizations backed by leftist politicians were trying to create a storyline of doom and gloom during Trump’s presidency.

Hospitals were incentivized to diagnose patients with the virus. Senator Scott Jensen (R-Minn) stated “Hospital administrators might well want to see COVID-19 attached to a discharge summary or a death certificate. Why? Because if it’s a straightforward, garden-variety pneumonia that a person is admitted to the hospital for – if they’re Medicare – typically, the diagnosis-related group lump sum payment would be $5,000. But if it’s COVID-19 pneumonia, then it’s $13,000, and if that COVID-19 pneumonia patient ends up on a ventilator, it goes up to $39,000.

The CDC predicted 1.7 million deaths back in March with an estimated death rate of 0.8%. Confirmed COVID-19 deaths are at about 100,000 Americans with a 0.26% fatality rate. One life list to COVID-19 is too many, however, careful attention should be paid to the way the statistics are generated.

Dr. Ngozi Ezike, director of the Illinois Department of Public Health explains “The case definition is very simplistic. It means at the time of death, it was a covid positive diagnosis. That means that if you were in hospice and had already been given a few weeks to live and then you also were found to have covid, you would be counted as a covid death. It means technically even if you died of a clear alternative cause but you had covid at the same time, it’s still listed as a covid death.”

At the recommendation of the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Americans stayed in their homes and only ventured out to get food. In the world outside of home and the grocery store, the pandemic seemed to spin out of control. With nothing better to do, Americans sat in front of the television and listened to mainstream media outlets tell them about the tragedies of the virus on repeat.

New President – New Prognosis

Leading up to Biden’s inauguration ceremony, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot started to discuss the need to open their cities. This comes after months of President Trump nearly begging governors to let Americans get back to work.

In an attempted show of force, Biden signed a litany of executive orders on his first day of office that merely led to the continuation of President Trump’s ongoing COVID-19 response efforts. To foot the bill for some added expenditures, Biden is asking that congress provide $1.9 trillion in pandemic relief funding. If the narrative continues on the same path, the mainstream media will report that our investments have been worth it and that we’ve finally defeated the virus (by turning down the sensitivity of our testing instruments).
